Operation Roll 2

This commemorative patch marks one of the largest security operations ever undertaken in Scotland, for the visit of the President of the United States of America, Donald J Trump. 

The visit took place from Friday 25 July, until Tuesday 29th July 2025 and saw over 7,000 police officers deployed alongside other organisations and agencies. 

This patch is made from woven material and measure 90mm with velcro backing. We wanted to keep the design simple and sleek. 

Its features:

• The Thistle. Prominently placed. The national flower of Scotland and a symbol of strength, resilience and national pride.
• The Stars and Stripes and The Saltire, side by side in acknowledgement of the friendship shared between the USA and Scotland
• Roman numerals representative of 2025
• The numbers 45 & 47. Representing the current US Presidents two terms in office.
